"As for the estate wines, I tasted four Bordeaux blends and the Syrah that Signorello has made since the very beginning. The 2013 Cabernet Sauvignon Estate (93.5% Cabernet Sauvignon and 6.5% Cabernet Franc aged 22 months in 64% new French oak) is a beauty. Inky purple-colored, with notes of charcoal, graphite, blackcurrants and blueberries, the wine is dense, opulent, full-bodied, fresh and full. It should drink well for up to 20 more years. The blend of 91% Cabernet Sauvignon and 9% Cabernet Franc aged 22 months in new French oak is more limited in its production."

Ray Signorello and his winemaking team have quietly, and somewhat under the radar, put together quite a portfolio of high-quality wines, primarily from their vineyards in the very southern end of Napa Valley in what would be considered south of Yountville and in the slightly elevated foothills of the Vaca Mountains
