Château Mazeyres i Pomerol er siden 1992 fremstillet af ønologen Alain Moueix, der er 4. generation af den legendariske familie bag Pétrus.

Alain, der ligeledes er ansvarlig for Fonroque Grand Cru Classé i Saint-Émilion, har gennem årene forbedret frugtkvaliteten med biodynamisk certificering, mens han i kælderen har indført en række spændende nytiltag.

Således modner Pomeol-vinen nu på en for Bordeaux unik blanding af 30% nye barriquefade, 30% store foudres, 20% amforaer og 20% moderne betonæg. Resultatet og ratings taler for sig selv... et must-try for alle fans af stor Pomerol.

There's plenty of depth, but this is an especially perfumed style, driven in large part by expansive Franc aromatics. The long, persistent finish is quite striking.”
