Ample bodied wine with glossy blackcurrant, blackberry fruits, plentiful velvety tannins, lovely mid-palate richness and underlying savoury oak notes. Finishes firm with minerally flavours at the finish. Very successful wine. 69% cabernet sauvignon, 26% merlot, 4% cabernet franc, 1% petit verdot. 15 months in around 50% new French oak."

The extremely dense yet refined tannins hug tightly around the plumpy body, increasing people's expectations for its future vintages"

The wine is medium-bodied, soft, energetic and fresh, with a lifted, red currant and leafy endnote. The wine was made from blending 69% Cabernet Sauvignon, 26% Merlot, 4% Cabernet Franc and 1% Petit Verdot. 13% ABV. The is the final vintage for the Tesseron family. Subsequent vintages will be produced by Jackie Lorenzetti, along with the team of Emmanuel Cruse, the new owner of the property. Drink from 2023-2035"

Today, the 2021 is decidedly lithe in feel. Crushed flowers, mint, rose petal and bright acids lend energy to a core of red berry fruit. Captivating in its inner perfume and elegance, Lafon-Rochet is the most Pauillac-like of the Saint-Estèphes."
