Økologisk siden 2015. Biodynamisk certificeret siden 2018.

95-96/100 James Suckling
"A wine that shows wonderful fruit with a ripeness and freshness at the same time. Medium to full body. Velvety and open. Blackcurrant, orange peel, and lovely fruit. Energy. From biodynamically grown grapes with Demeter certification."

94-96/100 The Drinks Business
"(Margaux; 67% Cabernet Sauvignon; 27% Merlot; 5% Petit Verdot; 1% Cabernet Franc; a final yield of 24 hl/ha; pH 3.64; 13.7% alcohol; tasted with Claire Villars-Lurton at the property). Floral and rather more like Durfort-Vivens than ever before – though the floral and fruit profiles are quite distinct and rather different (if a little difficult to capture). Violets, not the roses of Durfort, and more lavender and rosemary enrobing the lovely dark forest and autumnal fruits. Fittingly, there’s a touch of sous bois Blueberry and bramble, mulberry and blackberry. Menthol. Sumptuous. Cool in the mouth. Ample and beautifully shaped. It’s actually a touch more austere than Durfort and the fruit and floral elements remain more purple. Lovely crumbly tannins, a little more grainy, but helping to outline the shape of the wine in the mouth. A slowly etiolating long fresh and sapid finish. And it finishes on grape-skins. The best ever from here and a jump in quality and finesse in this vintage. There is more concentration and layering and depth but the same softness and those fabulous floral fireworks. Very lively. The great concentration comes from the old vines here which excelled in this vintage. 94-96."

95/100 Decanter
"Gorgeous fragrance of roses and milk chocolate, expressive, alive and inviting. Round and supple, generous flavours of blackcurrant, black cherry and strawberry. Compete and well textured, tannins are super fine and so well integrated, just giving a touch of grip and support to the fruit and high acidity. Well controlled, gentle, confident but not showy at all with a lovely energy and push from start to finish. Lovely texture and juiciness, pretty and so still with structure. Doesn’t have so much concentration and overt power but really delivers a gorgeous, sculpted, precise, refined glass of wine with so much energy and dynamism. Excellent, stony mineral finish too and such a long length. You could drink this today. 1% Cabernet Franc completes the blend. 75-80% grand vin production. 3.64pH. A yield of 24hl/ha. Ageing: 18 months, 35% in new oak barrels, 35% in barrels of one wine."

95/100 Falstaff
"Deep dark ruby garnet, opaque core, violet reflections, delicate edge lightening. Fine black forest berries, heart cherries, a hint of blackberries and liquorice, delicate tobacco and orange zest, inviting bouquet. Full-bodied, fine cassis, taut, fresh acidity, very lively, red berry nuances, cherries on the finish, salty finish, good length, subtle sweetness in the aftertaste."

93-95/100 Alexandre Ma
"If blind-tasting reveals aromas of tea tree mushrooms, graphite, and Da Bai Tu milk candy, it's highly likely to be Château Ferrière. I've always admired Château Ferrière's approach to refining tannins in recent years: the intense structure has gradually been imbued with a milky smoothness. No longer am I experiencing just power and structure, but rather a tamed passion and softened tension, which are even more prominent in the 2022 vintage. With 13.7% abv and a pH value of 3.64, Château Ferrière still presents an ideal acidity in a hot, dry year, making it an outstanding Margaux wine."

92-94/100 Robert Parker
"A blend of 67% Cabernet Sauvignon, 27% Merlot and the balance Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot, the 2022 Ferrière offers up aromas of dark berries, plums and sweet soil tones, followed by a medium to full-bodied, rich and layered palate that's suave, elegantly muscular and lively. From biodynamically farmed clay-rich gravels, this 18-hectare estate (formerly leased to Château Lascombes) possesses an unusually high proportion of old vines, with fully one-third of their vineyards over 70 years of age."

92-94/100 Vinous
"The 2022 Ferrière was cropped at 24hL/ha between 12 and 23 September with 13.7% alcohol. Aged in 35% new oak, 35% one-year-old, 20% concrete and 10% amphorae, this has an expressive bouquet with black cherries, cassis and crushed violet scents that explode from the glass. The palate is medium-bodied with great depth, smoothness and gentle grip. This is fairly plush, keeping with the style of the vintage, and has a persistent finish. This represents one of the best wines from Ferrière that I have tasted in a bloomin' long time."

92-94/100 VV Wine
"Very finely scented and red fruity, many floral notes, very playful and with good complexity. Delicate on the palate, fresh, a lot of pressure, no dryness whatsoever, on the contrary, the tannins harmonize perfectly with the delicate fruit. In the finish with very good length and a lot of spice. Excellent this year."
