Vi finder topslottet Lamarque i smørhullet mellem Margaux og St-Julien. På dette grusholdige top-terroir er der dyrket vin siden 1400-tallet, og rent faktisk kan familien bag Château Lamarque prale af det længste, ubrudte ejerskab af en vingård i verdenshistorien!

I dag fremstilles slottets Grand Vin i tæt samarbejde med 100-point-winemaker Michel Rolland, der har løftet kvaliteten og anmeldelserne helt op på niveau med langt dyrere, Grand Cru Classé-klassificerede slotte fra nærområdet i St-Julien og Margaux. Fantastisk value!

Clearly quite powerful and tannic, making the main impression before the salt undercurrent comes in. Serious but there's enough flesh to keep things very gently bouncy although it's hard to get past the slate-edged tannins at this point which are a bit drying on the finish. 3.67pH.
