Marken er naturligt formet som et amfiteater, let skrånende mod øst ned til Asso-floden. Galestro-mergel med stenede flodaflejringer, samt et højt indhold af jern og magnesium. Druerne er håndhøstet af 4 omgange. Mosten af de afstilkede druer gæres temperaturstyret og spontant, uden tilsætning af industrigær. 29 dages maceration, assisteret af et nedfaldssystem.
